I was thrilled when my friend, Paula, asked me to do newborn photos for her second grandchild – Bennett Alivia. While Bennett is the second grandchild, she is the first granddaughter! Her Gran (Paula) couldn’t have been more excited to plan her newborn photography session! It didn’t require too much coordination or preparation on my part because Gran had everything planned out.
Miss Bennett entered the world on May 7th, 2018 at 8 lbs, 10 oz (a healthy little lady!). She has the sweetest parents and big sister, Braelyn, who love her to pieces! She came to my studio for her newborn session at 12 days old and she did great. We bundled her up in a beautiful, floral wrap and matching headband that her mom brought and she was off to slumberland. Her stunning, big sister was so good with holding her – you could tell she was so proud of her baby sister!
Bennett slept like a little angel (literally – wait til you see the proof below!) through most of the session. We transitioned through many setups and props – and for the most part, she was really cooperative. The day of her session was the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, so it was totally appropriate to allow her to wear a princess crown. Oh my goodness – she wore it well! Besides, I’m sure her family thinks she’s a princess anyway!
I hope you enjoy Miss Bennett’s newborn gallery!
Baby Bennett’s great-grandmother, Mimi, made the blanket in the image below for her before she was born. Sadly, Bennett’s great-grandfather Poppie (Mimi’s husband), passed away on May 5th just two days before Bennett was born. I’m sure you can understand how much meaning this photo has for her family…and I know she must have a special angel watching over her now!
I absolutely love this. You were just a joy to work with, I brag about you to everyone I come across!
